HOME COMFORTS NORTH LANARKSHIRE

It's 10 years now since Home Comforts was started, little did we know how

it would grow and develop. Now we distribute both Cleaning Packs and Hygiene Packs all over North Lanarkshire. Last year we totalled a combined 1000 + packs which is amazing!

We are funded by Grants and donations ,but right now we are short of some items so I am appealing for TEA TOWELS &  DEODERANTS (roll on if possible).  There will be a box at the church door for any donations.

Thank you M Weir

Help Needed – Offering Rota Team

We are looking for volunteers from the congregation to form an ‘Offering team’ to help with the counting of the offering on a Sunday morning after the service.  This is planned to be on a rota basis.  The more volunteers we get, the fewer occasions you will have to assist.

The offering team has not been in operation since ‘lock down’ but now we urgently require assistance for the counting of the offering and your support will be greatly appreciated - the more the merrier.

Please contact Andrew Paul (on a Sunday or message on 07541129193 / Andrewjpaul.65@gmail.com) if you are able to assist and join our Offering Rota.

Go on - be a part of it

PRAYER SQUARE MINISTRY

Our In Stitches Craft Group has been busy knitting and crocheting prayer squares. Each one comes with a wee prayer. Anyone can take one either for themselves, or to take and give to someone they think may need it. It might be nice if visiting elders also took one when they visit folk.

Airdrie Academy 175 Project

We have been working with our writer in residence, Martin Stewart to create an anthology of work. Our creative project will involve picking particular moments in history to which Airdrie Academy has borne witness then, using photographs as prompts, writing short dialogue pieces to give the characters we imagine sitting in those classrooms, a voice.

We are now looking for contributions from our local community, ex pupils and staff, to share memories and stories from the school's rich and varied history.

I would appreciate any publicity for this project you can offer via your congregations and church community

Thanks so much
