CAMEO resume their meetings this evening at 7:30p.m..  Tonight they are having some fun by holding a Beetle Drive to start this part of the session.  All Welcome.   

 

WEDNESDAY – 21st  JANUARY, 2026

Our mid-week service – Delve in @ 12 will be held today at 12 Noon.  The service will be led by Rev. Alister Weighton, Minister of Coatdyke Congregational Church  All Welcome.

 

THURSDAY – 22nd JANUARY, 2026

The Choir practices resume in the Session Room at 7:30p.m..

 

FRIDAY – 23rd JANUARY, 2026

The SNACK BAR opens from 10:00a.m. – 1:00p.m..  Last Orders at 12:45p.m..

VESTRY TIME – Les will be available in the Vestry each Friday from 12 Noon until 2:00p.m..

The ART CLUB meet in the Upper Hall from 1:30p.m. – 3:30p.m..

At 7:00p.m. in the Church, our Quiz night with question master Les will take place – see further information below ….

 

FOODBANK DONATIONS

Our collections for the foodbank continue – items urgently required for this week are the following – porridge, cereal, UHT milk and diluting juice.

The Funeral service for MR. WILLIAM (BILLY) REID takes place in the Church at 11:30 a.m.. Thereafter to Holytown Crematorium for 12:30p.m..

 

TUESDAY – 27th JANUARY, 2026

The In Stitches Craft group meet in the session room from 10:00a.m. until 12 Noon.  If you are interested – please come along, you will be made most welcome.

The Senior Circle meet in the Session Room from 1:30p.m.. Tea / coffee and a chat from 1.30p.m. - 2:00p.m.  The group welcome a  speaker from Eclipse Holidays  – ALL WELCOME.

The Kirk Session meet in the Sanctuary at 7:00p.m..

 

WEDNESDAY – 28th JANUARY, 2026

THURSDAY – 29th JANUARY, 2026

St. Columba’s is holding a Scots Afternoon starting at 1:30p.m., to which we’ve received an invitation to join them. There will be the singing of the familiar songs, followed by a wee cup of tea and home baking.  If you are free, please make room for it in your diary.

The Church Quiz Night on Friday 23rd January here in New Wellwynd Church is being run to promote the social well being of the Church community and is hoped to be a fun night that everyone can participate in, either in a team or as a spectator.

Teams of up to 4 people can be from any organisation within the Church or associated to it (e.g. Kirk Session, Nearly New, Boys Brigade, etc. (NB. organisations can have more than 1 team)).

Teams can also be made up of any 4 individuals who have not been volunteered to represent an organisation but who would like to take part in the Quiz.

It is planned to start at 7p.m. and finish at around 9p.m.  It’s a free night, no cost to participate or watch.

For purposes of catering, please add your name to the list on table next to the organ.
