A prayer based on the words of Psalm 111

Lord, we praise You with grateful hearts and honour You among Your people. We extol You with all that we are, for Your works are great and worthy of our reflection.

Your deeds are glorious and majestic, and Your righteousness endures through every generation. You are gracious and compassionate, causing Your wonders to be remembered so our faith may grow.

You provide for those who fear You and remain faithful to Your covenant forever. The works of Your hands are just and trustworthy, established in faithfulness and truth.

We thank You for the redemption You have given and for the holy covenant You have ordained. Holy and awesome is Your name. Teach us reverent awe, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. May our lives bring You eternal praise.

Amen.
