Dear David

The Mission Action Committee have asked the Presbytery Office to circulate the following information from the Wise Group, as you may wish to refer people in your parish to their services to enable them to access practical support in the winter months.

The Wise Group, a social enterprise committed to lifting people out of fuel poverty.

We know that many households struggle with energy bills, and that often people don’t know where to turn until the situation becomes urgent—especially in winter we give free, confidential support.

Our service helps individuals and families manage their energy use, reduce bills, and access the support they’re entitled to. We offer:

Free, 1-to-1 tailored energy advice & saving awareness

Help understanding energy bills and tariffs

Taking Meter Readings, How to Read meter’s & Meter Exchange Support

Liaising with supplier’s and dealing with any issues required

Income Maximisation

Support with energy-related debt

Connections to grants and wider services

Applying for support such as Warm Home discount & Priority service

Carbon monoxide awareness

Access to emergency Fuel Vouchers / Supermarket vouchers (£25)

We hope this information may be useful to you.

Kindest regards,

Rev Fiona Crawford | Presbytery Clerk |
