What’s on…
Today –
While Robbie does not demit his ministry at The New Wellwynd until 21st October, he will lead Worship for the last time as minister today, concluding 22 years’ faithful service amongst us.
At the conclusion of this service there will be a presentation to both Robbie and Carol.
The Tea Fellowship will be available in the large hall following the conclusion of this morning’s service.
Tuesday 10th October –
The In Stiches Craft Group meet in the Session Room from 10:00 – 12 Noon, All Welcome.
The Senior Circle meet in the Session Room from 2:00 – 3:00p.m.. The group will hold a Beetle Drive with Lesley Aitken.
All Welcome – Doors open at 1:30p.m. for tea, coffee, buscuits and a chat.
Wednesday 11th October –
Our mid-week service Delve in at 12 takes place at 12 Noon. All Welcome. Tea / Coffee are available in the large hall thereafter.
Thursday 12th October –
The informal farewell reception for members to say a personal and individual farewell to Robbie and Carol, will be held in the halls on between 7 and 9 pm at which finger food and drinks will be served.
If you intend to be present at the reception, please add your name to the lists available in the entrance vestibule or on the table near the organ console as you go through to the hall. This is to help with catering.
At approximately 8:30p.m. the Choir will provide two musical items which will be followed by a short address by Robbie.
Friday 13th October –
The SNACK BAR opens from 10:00a.m. until 1:00p.m.. Last orders 12:45p.m.
The NEARLY NEW opens from 10 :00 a.m. until 12 Noon.
The CHURCH QUIET TIME will be open from 10:00a.m. until 12 Noon.
The ART CLUB meet in the large hall from 2:00p.m. until 4 :00p.m.

Our collections for the foodbank continue – items urgently required for this week are the following – tinned fish, tinned meat and tinned vegetables.

Jackson Church have been in touch to say they are organising a bus to the Metro Centre for some Christmas shopping or just a day out.

Bus leaves Jackson at 8:00a.m.;
Bus leaves Metro Centre at 6:00p.m. normally home by 9:00p.m..
Cost between £12.00 - £25.00 depending on numbers on bus.

Pastoral Cover : 13th October – 31st October 2023
Robbie will be finishing on Friday, 13th October when he will be on annual leave until Saturday, 21st October which is his official date of demission.
From the 13th October until the end of the month, the Revd Kay Gilchrist of Airdrie Jackson will be covering any pastoral emergencies which would include funerals.
