JACKSON CHURCH - MINI BRIDGE – CARD GAME
BRIDGE was always considered to be a complicated card game, but to encourage more people to play and enjoy – Mini Bridge has been introduced. All rules of Bidding and Conventions are removed making it an interesting card game.
Morag Hamilton is hoping to start a Mini Bridge Club on a Thursday Afternoons from 2:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. in Jackson Church. If you have ever played Whist or Trumps you will enjoy it.
We will all learn together and it will be great for older minds.

Iain and Donald Jarvie and their friend Peter Hall are taking part in Sir Chis Hoy's "Tour de 4" on Sunday 6th September 2026 in memory of John Jarvie, Iain and Donalds' dad.

The Cinnamon Trust needs additional dog walking volunteers in Airdrie – ML6 postcode area
Could you volunteer to offer some support to an older resident of Airdrie and their delightful little dog who would love some walking companions. If the answer is yes we would be delighted to hear from you.
You would become part of a small team of volunteers assigned to a particular owner and their dog walking on a rota basis to suit your availability, the aim being that the dog gets a good walk several times a week.

Time Capsule – 2025
Last year, you may remember we were involved with the Library in celebrating their centenary in the current building and also our 30th Anniversary as a congregation. We both planted time-capsules in the grounds. The Library has now provided a commemorative plaque and this was placed in the ground near the area the time capsules were buried.
The plaque reads –
